{{help me}}

Hello, just wrote a wikipedia entry, my first ever, and seem to have gotten into complications. As a novice, it seems daunting at this stage to unravel what I've done wrong.

I started by trying to 'categorize', as requested, and things went from bad to worse.

The categories that would seem to make sense would be Audio / Phonograph / Turntable.

The entry :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garrard_301_/_401_Transcription_Turntable

The problems :

1) categorization 2) cleanup flag 3) wikification flag

I'm very willing to spend time revising the text of the entry if that's what needs clarification, but all these tags and flags and technical things appear increasingly complex and discouraging.

Would an experienced editor be willing to help ?

Thanks very much for your time.

[edit] In Response to your Help Request

Xyzimpf, I can help you with the Wikifying, in the mean time, you can help by organizing the article a bit better. May I recommend the Tutorial? It may be able to help you with some of the problems listed by other contributors. --cmelbyetalk! 21:46, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ongoing help response

Couldn't seem to find a simple "respond" box on the reply from Cmelbye, so posting here.

(This is all a bit like wanting to contribute a small piece of a jigsaw puzzle, but then finding out you need to drive a space shuttle to deliver it...)

Thanks for your immediate response, Cmelbye. I'll do just that --- slowly make my way thru the tutorial, througout the weekend, and make required changes.

Could I contact* you again when things seem better situated ?

[edit] Your Article

Xyzimpf, okay, references sound good. If you need help with those, leave a message on my talk page. Now, for the links. In this example, the page you want to link to is called "The_Next_Page" and the text you want the link to show up as is "the next page". You would just add this: [[The_Next_Page|the next page]]. Links are in the form of [[PageToLinkTo|LinkText]]. If you have any trouble with this, leave me a message. --cmelbyetalk! 12:15, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
