[edit] Luach.com

Hello, Xyz7890. I saw your recent creation of the Luach.com article - thanks for your contributions! Thanks especially for using the {{underconstruction}} template, as that lets new page patrollers such as myself know that you're not quite done with it yet. Good luck with the article! I just wanted to offer a few tips to get you on your way: first of all, make sure that Luach.com is notable according to our guidelines - mainly, that you can find multiple reliable third-party sources about the site. Make sure that you also don't write the article like an advertisement - Wikipedia tries to maintain a neutral point of view on all topics. I'm not suggesting that you've made these mistakes so far, or will - it's just that these are common mistakes by new users, and I'd hate to see your first article get deleted over a simple misunderstanding. If you need help with anything, please feel free to leave me a note on my talk page, or you can drop a question at the New contributor's help page, the help desk, or you can add {{helpme}} to this page and simply ask your question here. Anyway, good luck again with writing your article, and happy editing as always! Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:44, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Star-K.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Star-K.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:16, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Beanie Babies

I noticed on your user page that an IP address user is adding things to the Beanie Baby list. I'll try to track that person down and be ready to help you out with any Beanie Baby- or Ty- related stuff. I'll also try to help you start a Beanie Baby WikiProject.P.S. Let me know on my talk page if you need any help with stuff.-- Barkjo 19:08, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Ok. I've got some IP adresses for you. I just picked out some of the latest ones. Maybe later I'll pick out some older ones. Here they are:

  • 67.161.169.76

==Thanks for the invite re Beany Babies. I'm not at all knowledgeable about the topic, I just needed some information and, professional copywriter that I am, did a little cleanup work. PacificBoy 02:59, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Luach.com

Please note that {{underconstruction}} is for articles actively undergoing some kind of construction. It is not something that should remain on an article for life. Cheers. --Sturm 08:41, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Star-K.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Star-K.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sturm 08:45, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Beanie Babies Official Club

I have nominated Beanie Babies Official Club, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Beanie Babies Official Club. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. [edit] Adding the Beanie Baby to Ace (disambiguation)

Hi, The entry you've added to the Ace dab page has a minor problem -- adding a piped entry like

Aces (Beanie Baby)

makes it look like there's a web page (or redirect) named "Aces (Beanie Baby)" -- which there's not.

The manual of style says that individual entries should not be pipe linked (the "entry" in this case being Aces the Beanie Baby). It also says that if a word in the description of the entry is linked, you can use a pipe for that link.

Since there is no specific article about Aces the BB, the entry on the dab page should be the unlinked name of the entry, followed by its description. Since each entry needs exactly one working link, you need a link somewhere in the description. This is what I set up with my edit:

Alternatively, you could make the linked verbiage a little shorter:

[edit] Thanks for the recognition

Electricity on Shabbat and Beanie Babies - an interesting combination! Yechiel (Shalom) 23:53, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Of course, being a Jew, I am interested in writing on topics in Judaism. But I collected Beanie Babies when they were popular in the 90s, and from this, I have an interest in writing about them on Wikipedia.Xyz7890 (talk) 23:56, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
