Xykogen is a techno-industrial/EBM band. Like DeathBoy, they were initially signed to Wasp Factory Recordings, and are now signed to Line Out Records [1]. The word "xykogen" is a neologism coined by the band's founder, Amon Zero, meaning any process which influences minds [2].
Xykogen was first established in 2004 by Amon Zero, formerly the vocalist of UK cyberpunk band Arkam Asylum (aka Arkasai). The full live lineup formed at the beginning of 2006, with the release of the Mutate and Survive EP. The Xykogen group is currently based in London, UK.
Xykogen have performed at the Whitby Gothic Weekend, headlined the Carnival of Souls, and been linked to the emerging UK Futurepunk scene since playing a series of key events in London (November 2006 & 2007) and Leeds (December 2007) [3][4].
