[edit] Product
Xtreme Turf is an artificial turf system comprised of soft polyethylene or nylon fibers that are tufted into a reinforced backing. The primary Xtreme Turf system is developed for Soccer or American Football. This consists of an infill and the spacing of artificial grass fibers being approximately 1/2 inch apart.
Synthetic turf options are available to fit the Xtreme Turf system to the needed use such as for indoor or outdoor sports, parks, landscaping, field hockey, golf, tennis and rugby.
[edit] Maintenance
Artificial turf systems must be properly maintained in order to keep the surface in good playing condition. Maintenance helps to avoid degradation of heavily used areas, infill compaction and is generally required per a manufacturer's warranty. Neglecting maintenance or minor repairs can lead to more serious problems with continued use. Keeping the surface clean of debris is best. Also, the most common method of maintenance is using a nylon or polyolefin brush. The amount of periodic maintenance, brushing methods and solutions for specific issues such as snow/ice removal, oil spillage, etc. can be provided by the artificial turf manufacturer. It is important to keep a maintenance log to track the performed maintenance.
