I recently graduated with a B.A. in History from the Department of History in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell, where I was a member of Risley Residential College, I am an Eagle Scout, a recipient of the Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow, a foodie and a gourmet, a former Lincoln-Douglas Debater, a long time summer camp councilor, an actor and director in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, an Atheist, a former resident of Sturbridge, MA, Northampton, MA, Bethesda, MD, and Lexington, MA (where I went to High School at Lexington High School and Middle School), Amherst, MA, Chapel Hill, NC an advocate of gay rights, secularism, and the inclusive scouting movement, and a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. I am the 2006 Person of the Year according to Time. My advisor was Richard Polenberg, a professor of American history. As a senior, I authored a 40+ page research paper on the founding of Risley Residential College for Carol Kammen, author of "Glorious to View"

After graduation, I began working for as a paralegal in New York City and preparing to apply to graduate school to earn a graduate degree in history. Someday, I hope to become a history professor. I may also apply for a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in Italy, because the European Union has made it too hard to get visas for introductory level jobs in Europe. Between my job and grad school, I'd like to go to Europe, but the exchange rate has tanked.

My primary research interests are modern United States foreign relations and the process of developing strategy. I am currently reading up on International relations theory.
