[edit] False and misleading information in closed railway station pages

Please stop guessing facts about closed stations that are misleading or entirely false. Also please backup claims with sources. Xt881m (talk) 05:05, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

I wrote a quite vitriolic response to Xt881m, but lost it. (Probably just as well!) It seems to me that Xt881m is one of those people who would rather complain than actually do anything useful. I do NOT agree that your guesses are either misleading or false. In the absence of actual hard information, you are drawing reasonable conclusions, and you are saying so.
Keep up the good work. Unlike Xt881m, you are actually trying to add value to WP. Well done. Pdfpdf (talk) 09:39, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

How is adding false information (such as saying passenger rail in SA stopped in the 1960'a) adding any value to wikipedia at all? Xt881m (talk) 11:26, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Xt881m: I'm not sure how appropriate it is for you and me to be having a discussion on somebody else's talk page. Accordingly, I'm moving continuation of this discussion to your talk page. Pdfpdf (talk) 11:53, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Neither false nor misleading. (Country) passenger rail in SA did stop in the 1960s. Pdfpdf (talk) 11:53, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

How about saying that Yantaringa had a passing siding, which I have been assured is entirely false? Xt881m (talk) 04:59, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

What evidence did the person who assured you provide? If you cite that evidence, that will improve the article. Pdfpdf (talk) 09:14, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
