Xplorer (passenger train)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Xployer was named train of the New York Central Railroad, between Cleveland, Ohio and Cincinnati, Ohio. The Xplorer was a 1956 lightweight attempt by the NYC to modernize rail travel in Ohio and lure people out of their cars. The ride was terrible, as with most of the other lightweights of the period, and the train was not a success.[1]
