Larry Napp, was an American League umpire for 25 years who worked in four All-Star Games and four World Series. He died on Wednesday July 7th, 1993 after suffering a heart attack. He was 77.

One of his four World Series included an assignment at first base during Don Larsen's perfect game for the New York Yankees against the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1956. He also umpired in the 1969 Series, when the New York Mets completed a miracle year by beating the Baltimore Orioles in five games.

Napp was born in Brooklyn. Began umpiring at the minor leagues in 1948, and joined the American League in 1951.
