[edit] Rokocoko pronunciation
Hi, re Joe Rokocoko - I based my IPA transcription on Joe's pronunciation of his own name, which you can hear here: [1] (scroll down to the clip labelled "See All Blacks Keven Mealamu, Aaron Mauger, Joe Rokocoko and Greg Somerville front the fans at an adidas store visit in Melbourne" - it's about 50 seconds into the clip).
I feel Joe's pronunciation of his name should take precedence, even if it's technically incorrect. --Muchness 04:38, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
- Not a problem, and thanks for the correction. I may add a footnote to the article to cover the common mispronunciation. Can you add stress marks to indicate correct stress? Thanks and regards. --Muchness 04:51, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
Hi again, can you correct the IPA for Rupeni Caucaunibuca? I based it on the anglicised pronunciation. --Muchness 17:16, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
- i'll certainly give it a try --Xorkl000 05:07, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Savenaca Siwatibau
Hi there! I see you just removed Siwatibau's name from the Taveuni article, saying that he was from Natewa.
This source says that he was born in Tukavesi, and that his father was from Nabau, Taveuni. I leapt to the conclusion that Tukavesi must be in Taveuni also. Sorry for the error. David Cannon 10:24, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] former President Ratu Josefa Iloilo
Ni sa bula vinaka, Xork1000, I have left a posting on this article's talk page. He has now retired. Can you please confirm, & add the acting President's name to the list of Presidents of Fiji? I have met Sir Paul Reeves, who drafted the 1997 Fijian Constitution. - (Aidan Work 04:44, 17 January 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Kings of Rotuma
As Fiji is a land of kings & chiefs, could you please find some information about the Kings of Rotuma, who are known as Sau in the Rotuman language. - (Aidan Work 04:44, 17 January 2006 (UTC))
- Sorry, this is not a topic that interests me.--Xorkl000 05:43, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tui Viti article
Xork1000, could you please let me know if my information in this article is correct? - (Aidan Work 06:10, 17 January 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Rotuma Day, 2005 (etc)
Thank you for telling me how you feel about these articles. Okay then, I'll look at ways to merge some of these articles. I didn't realise that Independence Day, Waitangi Day, etc. didn't have separate articles for the various years. To tell you the truth, I had never looked at those articles!
The reason why I made all these separate articles was that Fiji Week in 2004 was marked by some political controversy that generated considerable media attention. I felt that the volume of information merited an article of its own. I then considered that if 2004 needed its own article, it would only be fair to do the same for other years, and for articles about other festivals too.
I will ask one or two guys on Wikinews whether there is a time-limit on submitting news reports retrospectively. If not, I will "transwiki" several articles. Otherwise, I'll merge them in the next day or two.
By the way, did you get the emails I sent in reply to a couple of your questions a few weeks back? I ask only because I heard nothing, and other people around that time told me they didn't get my mail. I hope those got through to you. David Cannon 08:57, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- i think that Fiji Week 2004 is probably a sensible article to keep, as you rightly point out the events around it were a bit more notable than usual.--Xorkl000 12:37, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Turaga na Ravunisa
Bula! If you're not too busy, could you take a look at this article? I didn't write it, I found it - and it was an absolute dog's breakfast. I've done my best to add wiki links and to clean up the text, but I don't know enough about the topic to know what to delete and what to leave in. Your perusal would be very much appreciated. Thanks! David Cannon 10:49, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
- I agree, its pretty bad. Its supposed to be about a lomaloma title but goes on about the yavusaratu and the vunivalu most of the time. I can't speak that much as to factual accuracy but structurally its buggered, it really should be moved to something like History of Bau or something like that. Do i have the time? Not this week unfortunately --Xorkl000 12:56, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pacific Tri-Nations
I've tried to do what I can with articles on rugby union in the Pacific Islands but I'm English and know very little about the scene. There's very little information available on the internet either. I saw you edit a rugby union page so I assume that you do have some interest in that area. With regard to the above article, I am having difficulty finding out who won the tournament in which year so if you have any information could you please add it to the page.GordyB 13:13, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- Teivovo produces a fiji rugby almanac that will probably assist, been meaning to buy it for ages, i suppose now i will --Xorkl000 14:46, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
Good stuff. If you are interested, there is a Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Rugby union that currently has 13 members. You might be interested in signing up.GordyB 14:52, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ndegei and Degei
Hi there! Of course we can merge them. I'll do it now. The basic procedure is: [1] ask an administrator (such as myself) to temporarily delete the "good" file, [2] move the "bad" file to the location of the deleted page, and [3] restore the deleted edits (it sounds complicated, but it's not). BTW, let me know when you've made 1000-1500 edits and I'll nominate you for adminship, which will enable you to do that sort of thing. David Cannon 10:25, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds simple enough, but how do i do [1]? --Xorkl000 10:28, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
-
- See the row of tabs at the top of your page (article - discussion - edit this page etc.)? An administrator has an extra tab marked DELETE. All I have to do is hit that tab, click YES on a popup screen asking me whether I know what I'm doing, and presto, the article is gone. To restore a deleted article, only have to type the old title and click a RESTORE button (I think that's visible only to administrators). As I said, I'll nominate you for adminship when you've got 1000-1500 edits, the de facto threshold for nomination. BTW, I've merged the two pages now. David Cannon 10:52, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

- thanks, i misunderstood your comment, i thought there was something you wanted me to do here beyond what i had already done. --Xorkl000 11:55, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fiji Sun
By the way, you asked about my assertion that the majority of Fiji Sun readers are Indians. I got that from the Fiji Sun website itself - from the READER GUIDE tab which currently appears to be broken. As I remember, they claimed that over 60 percent of their readers were Indians. How they came by these figures, or whether they just made them up out of thin air, I have no idea. If the broken link starts working again, I'll link the article to it. David Cannon 10:51, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Frankly these people are bullshitters of the highest order - they refuse to have their circulation figures independently audited, i wouldn't trust anything they say about their circulation --Xorkl000 11:52, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't know that. Now that you've told me, I've removed that claim from the article. David Cannon 12:17, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Election date
Thanks for giving me the election date! Somebody else already beat me to editing the article accordingly, but thanks! David Cannon 09:50, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] OITC saga
Yes I'm trying to follow it and make some sense of it. I will start an article on the topic later this week. One thing I don't understand is this: is the Viti Landowners Resource Association a formal legal body of chiefs, or an informal grouping put together by Ratu Gavidi? In what way is it related to the Great Council of Chiefs? Does it have the legal authority to enter into business transactions on behalf of landowners? And how is membership defined? I thought there were about 70 chiefs altogether, but one news report says that this body has more than 200 chiefs in attendance. David Cannon 00:11, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- ýes its quite absurd. VLRA was originally just a pressure group designed to get more money out of the tourist industry for landowners, and i actually thought it had quite a sensible and reasonable agenda. It has no relationship to the BLV except in that there would be some overlapping membership. Your chief numbers don't add up because there is no real definition of what a chief is. --Xorkl000 01:07, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fiji presidential election
Thank you for alerting me to the reelection of your President and Vice-President. I'm very impressed to see a man of 85 still serving his people so willingly and selflessly. I'll peruse the online papers and see what details I can add to the background. David Cannon 21:07, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thats one view, i think he just likes the medical plan that comes with the job. --Xorkl000 06:12, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
About the OITC, it appears to be a rather questionable organization, targeting small countries with offers for millions of dollars. It has appeared in Fiji, as you know, and now it seems to be active in Ecuador (South America), with the same modus operandi. If anyone has more information about the OITC, please let everybody know. They also use other names, in English and in Spanish, Office of International Treasury Control (OITC), aka Office of Treasury Control, aka Oficina Internacional de Control del Tesoro, aka Oficina Internacional de Control de Tesorería, aka Oficina Internacional de la Custodia del Tesoro.

[edit] Ratu Finau - Tui Nayau?
Hi there. I was basing my claims on a Fiji Village article which appeared quite emphatic, as I remember. The headline read: "Ratu Finau is Tui Nayau", and the article quoted the Lau Provincial Council chairman as saying that he had accepted the title. Nevertheless, I noticed that other media did not report it, and I wondered about that. So feel free to revert what I added. I didn't mean to engage in speculation.
By the way, the last few days at work have been overloaded, so I haven't been able to keep up with everything I wanted to write for Wikipedia. I've been making clips from Fijian news reports, and will try to get relevant facts into articles as and when I am able (I should be somewhat freer later in the week). David Cannon 11:22, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- ok, will revert --Xorkl000 11:25, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Explain
Will Xork1000 please explain why Fiji Indian would be a racially offensive term and Indo-Fijian wouldn't. I am an Indian in Suva and I may not be speaking for other Indians but I would not like to be refered to as a Fijian wih an 'Indo' adjective-like add-on. When one belongs to culture, one likes to promote one's identity. Seriously, I am an Indian, not a Fijian sub-category. —This unsigned comment was added by Parik arun (talk • contribs) 22:56, 22 March 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Flag of Fiji
I've uploaded my version of the Fiji flag here. I know that you are aware of the current debate regarding this and since no one could get the proper specs for the flag, I figured I might as well edit it myself. So what do you think of this version? Leftist 12:31, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
- hmm ... i bothers me a bit, i think it should be same sky blue as the RAF Ensign --Xorkl000 01:59, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] #if to hide English measurements
I still think the change to #if
works like this:
{{#if: condition | then result | else result }}
(the "else result" is optional, you can omit it and the pipe (|
) before it)
So, for example, if you only wanted something to be displayed when the parameter {{{foo}}}
is non-blank you'd do this:
{{#if: {{{foo|}}} | do something with {{{foo}}} }}
Notice that {{{foo}}}
has a pipe in it ({{{foo|}}}
), this is called the "parameter default", and since there's nothing after the pipe, that makes {{{foo}}}
default to blank. #if
checks for whether or not the value passed in to it is blank or not, then displays one of two bits of text depending on the result of the blank check.
For more detailed documentation, please see m:ParserFunctions. It also has some other examples. Anyways, I'll try and figure out if I can understand what it is you're trying to do (I should be asleep, heh) and fix it. =) —Locke Cole • t • c 12:45, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- i thought i was copying your example, but i realise now that i am missing stuff. what i'm trying to do is display to make this particular parameter optional - if you don't have data it shouldn't display --Xorkl000 13:00, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- I think I got it fixed. Feel free to view what I did; it might make it easier if you come across something like this in the future. =) Let me know if there's any problems. —Locke Cole • t • c 13:23, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
-
- Hi XorK,
I reverted your changes to Template:Infobox Country because if you consider the English measurements optional then someone will just delete them. Thus, making Wikipedia less universal instead of more universal to many readers of the English version. They needed to be optional until all articles using this template could be fully updated. This argument has come before—but in general articles (such as ones about countries) both systems of measurement should be used and any conversions should not be removed. There is a section in the MOS about it WP:MOSNUM. Regards, MJCdetroit 17:00, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
-
- Please keep in mind that the English system of measurement is still very much in use in the United States, Canada, and the UK. Readers from those countries account for a majority of the readers to the English version of wikipedia. This is why conversions should not be removed from articles. It is a well accepted practice of displaying both units of measurement. Just because the metric system maybe the only measurement system where you live does not warranty removal of English measurements in general articles. This goes against the Wikipedia manual of Style and makes Wikipedia less universal. Please do not make any changes to the template. Thank you. MJCdetroit 18:17, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vicariate Apostolic of Fiji
Hi there! There's a bit of an edit war going on about Vicariate Apostolic of Fiji. The uploader of the article is insisting that its content remain practically unchanged from the public domain encyclopedia from which (s)he lifted it. I have tried removing details that are obsolete or irrelevant, but (s)he has proved unwilling to go along with that. Your own opinions are welcome. David Cannon 22:32, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Parliamentary Speaker - Sir Vijay Singh?
Hi there! I am a little confused about the correct dates of tenure for the Speakers of the Fijian Parliament. This source identifies Sir Vijay Singh as a former Speaker of the House, as does his obituary in the Fiji Times (26 September 2006), but the parliamentary website has no record of him. There is, however, a one year gap in the dates of the speakers they list, so I have tentatively added Singh in there. Is that correct? David Cannon 23:24, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Good question - i really have no idea about where Sir Vijay sits in the list of Speakers. Everyone says he was speaker but i haven't got a set of dates. Let me make a few calls and find out more about this --Xorkl000 02:15, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Turaga na Rasau
Hi there! User:Maikeli has written a somewhat rambling article on Turaga na Rasau, which I'm having great difficulty making sense of. Some of the information seems good, but he seems to mix history with legends at random, and there seems to be a lot that isn't directly related to the topic. I've tried to clean it up a bit, but I honestly don't know what to leave in and what to take out. Can you have a look at it? David Cannon
- honestly? i despair at the drivel Mr. Benefield produces, it reminds of his carreer on radio and television, where he managed to become the single most annoying media personality in the country. Personally i'm in favour of AfDing his entire corpus and deleting User:Maikeli as well
- As you can tell I have a difficulty bringing neutral point of view to this matter, so I think i'll just stay out of it, if its all the same to you --Xorkl000 10:39, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks anyway! I'll try to get in touch with those two Lauans and see what they say. David Cannon 21:05, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Kaivalagi
Thanks for describing my use of the word "kaivalagi" as being "silly" (re: your latest edit of the Suva wikipedia page.)
I didn't think it was silly when I inserted it. It seemed to be a more accurate and useful description of the people who established the trading post at Levuka than the word "European" - since most of them were not, of course, Europeans, but Americans, Australians, New Zealanders etc. I actually defined the term "kaivalagi" so it could help those who didn't know what it meant.
Trouble is, someone has since deleted the definition of "kaivalagi" and someone else has re-inserted the word "European", so the unexplained use of "kaivalagi" here does indeed look silly, and possibly even racially-motivated. That was not the intention.
Wikipedia is becoming increasingly useful, but I am increasingly disinclined to take part myself given the offhand tone of some of the commentary on my rare contributions. --Timonroad 02:46, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Chiefly titles
Hi there! I have a couple of curiosities:
- In the media, I've seen Commodore Bainimarama's brother referred to as Ratu.' If his brother has a chiefly title, how come he hasn't?
- There isn't some sort of authority deciding who can tack this on to their name like there is in some other parts of the world. Their family are minor nobility from Kiuva in Southern Tailevu, I would say that they are a borderline case - 40 years ago people probably wouldn't be calling them Ratu, nowadays everyone's a Ratu.
- I'm guessing both Frank and the general public seem to think that his military rank is probably more important to his status in society so he doesn't bother with it - however i have heard him referred to Ratu Voreqe on more than one occassion.
- Jone Baleidrokadroka : His father was a chief, and his sister has a chiefly title - so why hasn't he got one?
- None of these people have chiefly titles, but the family are minor nobility from Naitasiri - very similar situation to the family above. One thing to note is that Lagamu however is both the widow of of the son of Turaga Talai's brother and the mistress of the Qaranivalu - neither of these are borderline cases of nobility so i suppose she gets a double dose of the old "Consort Boost" in status.
- Col. Baledrokadroka has no such boost, and like Voreqe has another more substantial and recognised source of status to rely on.
- Josefa Vosanibola : In one media (Fiji Village, I think), I've seen him called Ratu. I haven't seen him called that anywhere else. Is Fiji Village trying to flatter him - or are other media deliberately belittling him, or what?
- the other way round, often Ratu is appended to people's name in ironic fashion to belittle them (Chaudhary is often called "Tu Ma" in this fashion) - i suspect this is what is happening here
BTW, I'm deliberately not writing about the military situation in Fiji at present, because Andrew Hughes has called for the media to avoid inflaming the situation, so I'm just trying to be responsible. But I have been following it, and will try to write it up when the situation has normalized. David Cannon 22:51, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- Somehow i doubt that Andy's jurisdiction runs to the Kapiti Coast, and i suspect that both Andy and 99% of the people of Fiji are not the slightest bit concerned about what happens here at wikipedia. Be Bold. --Xorkl000 10:53, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- Thanks for explaining! Okay then, I'll try to get a something typed up in the next couple of days. David Cannon 11:47, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fiji update
Hi there! One user moved 2006 Fijian coup plot from my user space, where I had made a start with it, into the main space, and has edited to make it appear that the coup has already occurred. Media reports here in New Zealand appear to be confused and contradictory, so I'm not really in a position to confirm or contradict his assertion. You presumably know more about it than I do, so could you look at that? Thanks!
BTW, there's a discussion on the use of the Ratu title on the discussion page of Frank Bainimarama's article.
I do hope you and your family are safe. David Cannon 12:00, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- precipitous indeed, no coup has happened as far as i know--Xorkl000 20:18, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- Thanks for your suggestions. I'll see what I can do about the article once some of the traffic on it has slowed down - it's out of my hands at the moment. I don't think there's been a Fiji-related article with so much traffic in the 3 years I've been on Wikipedia. On the naming of the article - I was keeping it in my user space until situation (coup or no coup) became clearer, but somebody else "kidnapped" the article and moved it into the main article space (without asking me), so it's everybody's article now. I'll try to neutralize it when calm comes. David Cannon 23:35, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fiji WikiProject
I have just become aware and interested in the islands of Fiji, and have created the WikiProject Fiji. I was recommended to ask you to join by David Cannon, and it would be great to have you on board as you have contributed and created so many of the articles about the country, and obviously know a lot about the area. [edit] Tui Viti, Paramount Chief of Fiji, Queen of Fiji, etc.
Hi there! An anonymous user has proposed merging the Tui Viti, Paramount Chief of Fiji, and Queen of Fiji articles, or any combination thereof, claiming that they refer to identical positions. I've replied at Talk:Paramount Chief of Fiji that I think the roles are comparable, but the titles distinct. But I really don't know. Do you think they should be merged, or what? Thanks! (I'm asking the same question of User:Laulad). David Cannon 11:14, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- all three of these articles are pretty bad, unfortunately i won't have time to contribute here for at least two weeks --Xorkl000 03:03, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mere Samisoni, Coup stances, etc.
Hi there! I've just read your denial that Mere Samisoni is a chief. I made that assumption after seeing part of her family tree somewhere, which showed her to be related in some way to Ratu Mara. That's what confused me.
- its claimed she is related to Qolikoro, who was the late Tui Nayau's mother. Qolikoro was a commoner--Xorkl000 01:18, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
To change the subject: I am also somewhat confused by Adi Koila's reaction to the latest coup. She was interviewed on Radio New Zealand the other day, where she pointedly refused to condemn the coup. What I don't understand is this: if my memory is correct, it was Bainimarama who forced her father out of office is 2000, so why is she so apparently sympathetic to his latest takeover? Does the fact that her husband was once the army commander have something to do with it, or what? David Cannon 00:45, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
- no comment--Xorkl000 01:18, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

I for many years was raised very european oriented and when later in life I discovered and learned and am still learning my Fijian ties as I am Vasu, I may have been guilty of boast here and there and as I mature that part of my character I am trying to change and improve in and learn more humility, but I have tryed to make sure that my words are true and can be backed up if my presence offended you then I am sorry.
- good for you mate, but this means that english is your first language. How come you can't write it worth a damn then? --Xorkl000 09:13, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
but I will continue to be who I am and will try to improve my character, my life and the lives of those around me in whatever little way I can but its lifetime process and I am trying, you should learn to be bit fairer in your assesments of others.
- Not really, i have no time for imbeciles. I have many years of experience of you in media and in person, and now on wikipedia, all of which confirm that this is exactly what you are. This is my fair assessment. --Xorkl000 09:13, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Archiving
Hi there! I hope you enjoyed your Christmas as much as I did. Two things:
1. The easiest way to archive your talk page is to create a subpage. I've done that on my own talk page - you can see the formatting if you hit the "edit" button. Just follow these steps:
(a) Edit your talk page and insert something like this: Conversations prior to 1 December 2006 have been archived. (You may, of course, substitute any date for December 1). The new subpage should appear as a red link.
(b) Cut the text you want to archive from your talk page - you have to hit the "edit" button to do it.
(c) Click on the red link. This will take you to your new subpage. Just paste in the text you cut from the original talk page. Then save the page. That's all
- thanks for this, i'll give it a whirl --Xorkl000 13:18, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
2. Now, the other issue. I have started the process of listing several of User:Maikeli's contributions on AFD. I've already listed Turaga na Ravunisa and will list Turaga na Rasau and possibly several others before the night is out. I think there's a 95 percent certainty that his incoherent ramblings will be gone by next week. David Cannon 10:22, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
- good, i've added my FJD 0.02 already. I happen to think that Turaga na Ravunisa should stay, but the rest need to go --Xorkl000 13:18, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

- You're most welcome. I think the Keni Naulumatua II article should be listed also, so I'll do that. BTW, if you need any more help with your archiving, just let me know:-) David Cannon 00:15, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Xork1000 please note the following:
"Ai Cavuti vaka tikina" lists the "Turaga na Ravunisa" wrongly as when it was written there was a period between when Ratu Viliam Fonolahi died and then when Ratu Keni was then nominated by the Vanua of LOMALOMA THE LAU PROVINCIAL COUNCIL AND THE FIJIAN AFFAIRS BOARD WHO HAVE RECORDS AND WILL CONFIRM THIS, THIS IS A LONG ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS AND REQUIRES THE SIGNTURES OF ALL THE CHIEFLY FAMILY OF VALELEVU OF LOMALOMA TIKINA this process has already been completed. and the traditional installation would have taken place this year but current political events have changed this and next year looks like a more likely period. there are also early records that are kept by the Fijian affairs board also records in the "Au vola ni kawa bula" (the book holds all the records of titles and title holders and villages and their various families) at the Fijian affairs board which will confirm the soverenty of the "Turaga Na Rasau" please contact them direct before considering this and related articles for deletion. Actually all titles and articles on Fiji should be confirmed by the FAB (Fijian Affairs Board) and the variuos provincial councils to which they belong. many people entering information regarding Fijian traditional titles and history on wikipedia do not have expressed permission of the provinicial councils and the Fijian affairs board and therefore should all be re-considered and reviewed pending the endorsement of the respective councils and Tikinas to which this history and information belongs and it should be endorsed by the Great Council of Chiefs not just of one or two books written by individuals or one or two independant sources
What are your credetals to comment on this subject??

- err ... i don't need credentials. I'm not the one doing original research or writing unverifiable articles. Credentials are irrelevant here, only thing that matters are the policies and rules of wikipedia. If you are not willing to follow them perhaps you need so take your work elsewhere. --Xorkl000 01:02, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bula
I am afraid motive and credentials on what gives you the right to ridicule and belittle me and the title of the Turaga Na Rasau and related articles is relivent.
- two separate issues, the fact that i think you are an idiot has nothing to do with the fact that you are not following WP:V and WP:NOR
You have put me and my articles under questioning and scrutiny and I feel since you are a key source on Fiji related topics and traditional and historic matters, you should give your credentials if your information and input is to be trusted and relied upon by wikipedia. You owe that to your fellow countrymen of which I am one regardless of your hate and distain for me personally.
- again you avoid the issue, follow wikipedia rules regarding verifiability and the prohibition on original research or get out - these are your two options --Xorkl000 02:49, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
what are your motives Xork1000, mine I have clearly stated and I am not hiding behind an alias, as for documentation there is a considerable sum to digitise from Suva and from the FAB and the Au Vola Ni Kawa Bula and I will get to that.
- i've proposed in the AFD page that we give you two months to do this. --Xorkl000 02:49, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
but who are you to comment so freely and dis-respectfully toward me and my Vanua and Orall history of my people.
- i believe you to be an imbecile, you are a natural speaker of english, yet everything you write is riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. You have shown consistently that you are unable to grasp the basics of wikipedia formatting and processes, even after months of work here. These observations speak for themselves.
- I have the utmost respect for your vanua and the oral history of Vanua Balavu, if your articles happened to based on that then i would leave them alone. i just happen to believe that the content of your articles are made up and the product of a fabulist. Luckily i don't have to prove this assertion, it is you who have to prove me wrong in conformance with WP:V and WP:NOR. --Xorkl000 02:49, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
