I'm not sure how to get to the actual page with the information on Xinjiang Administrative Divisions. This note pertains to that, which is included by this page.

I think these sets of China administrative data should have references to the sources, with dates. It looks to me like this data might be a bit old. The file at http://www.stats.gov.cn/tjbz/xzqhdm/t20080215_402462675.htm is from 2007/12/31 and has 米东区 (Midong? District) instead of Dongshan District, though GB2260-2002 has it as Dongshan.
