[edit] multiple wallpapers
The article had said that wallpapers would be stretched across multiple screens using Xinerama. This is dependent on the desktop environment, so I removed it. (If you're wondering, Enlightenment 17 lets you do all sorts of things with different backgrounds and Xinerama.) - Mohrr 23:36, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure the window managers that allow you to set different backgrounds for different displays under xinerama do so because they MERGE the background images you want into ONE bitmap that, when stretched, displays correctly to you the simple headed user... I could be wrong on this, but if I'm not it means you're ignorant and pushy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.111.180.246 (talk) 22:36, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Comparison with xrandr 1.2
What about xrandr 1.2 which allows to create multiple outputs on the same X11 screen? Is it the same thing as xinerama, but implemented differently? Is it better? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eugen Dedu (talk • contribs) 16:42, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Prounciation Tips
It would be helpful in this entry (and other tehcnology related entries which also use strange names) to provide pronunciation help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.35.225.227 (talk) 15:11, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Style
This article is written in conversational or "magazine" style. I have tagged it with {{tone}}, mainly as a reminder to myself to get back to it later. Eric Sandholm 08:36, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
