Xie Xuren

Xie Xuren (traditional Chinese: 謝旭人, simplified Chinese: 谢旭人, Pinyin: Xiè Xùrén), is the current Minister of Finance of People's Republic of China. He's also a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.

Born in 1947 in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, he graduated from Zhejiang University, (major: finance). Joined the Communist Party of China in 1980. He is a senior economist in the government.

Xie first worked for Ningbo Zhenhai Machinery Factory, and then served in the local government in Ningbo. 1998, he became the president of the Agricultural Development Bank of China. 2002, he was selected as an alternate member of 16th CPC Central Committee, till 2007. 2003-2007, he was the chief director and the secretary of the State Administration of Taxation. 2007, he was pointed to be the Ministry of Finance of People's Republic of China. And then became a member of 17th CPC Central Committee.
