Xiaobing Shuai

Xiaobing Shuai, Ph. D. is a well-known economist. Currently, Dr. Shuai serves as Senior Economist for Chmura Economics & Analytics in Richmond, Virginia.
Dr. Shuai has received national recognition for his work. In 2005, he received the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) Contributed Paper Award for his paper, Are Center Cities the Engines of Growth for their Suburbs? —Evidence from Virginia’s Metropolitan Areas. In addition to his NABE paper, Dr. Shuai's work has apperared in well-known publications such as Business Economics, International Economic Journal, and Environment and Development Economics. Dr. Shuai has spoken at the National Association for Business Economics Conference and Virginia Association of Economists Conferences.
Dr. Shuai's economic forecasts are published in Blue Chip Financial Forecasts, and his housing forecasts are published in Housing Market Report.
Dr. Shuai graduated from Fudan University and received an M.A. and Ph. D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2000, he won the Henry Taylor Doctoral Dissertation Award.
