Xiandai

- "Xiàndài" is a transliteration of 現代 and 现代. For other transliterations, see 現代.
Xiàndài (现代) means modern or Modern Era in mandarin Chinese. It is used in one of the following context:
- Hyundai (現代), the South Korean chaebol whose Chinese name is Xiandai.
- Xiandai Hanyu changyong zibiao (现代汉语常用字表), "List of Frequently Used Characters in Modern Chinese" published by People's Republic of China.
- Xiandai wenxue (現代文學), "Modern Literature", a Taiwan-based literary journal.
