Xi'an International Studies University

Xi'an International Studies University (XISU) (Chinese: 西安外国语大学) was founded in 1952 in Xi'an, Shaanxi. It was one of the oldest language schools in the People's Republic of China. It's now one of the top 5 foreign languages universities.

Eleven languages are taught in XISU: English, Russian, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Korean, Hindi and Chinese (for Chinese students as well as for foreign students). They are regrouped in 30 bachelor and 19 masters degrees.

There are also 22 study centers on the following fields: foreign languages and literatures, foreign language teaching, bilingual dictionary editing, etc.

About 20,000 students are studying in the establishment.
