Xhibition

A now-defunct annual technical conference and trade show which was created to focus on X Window System and open systems.

Xhibition began in August of 1988 with 600 attendees and 40 exhibitors. Xhibition growing to its high point in 1991 with 10,000 attendees and 125 exhibitors. As X entered the mainstream and found its way into virtually every product and every trade show, the need for an X-only tradeshow dropped off.
