This is a screen capture of the actual commercial aired on NBC in 2000 captured by the now defunct XFL.com.
[edit] Fair use rationale for Karen McDougal
- The screenshot is intended to represent a significant scene in one of the subject's best known appearances on TV, which caused a certain amount of controversy. The image is intended to represent the career of Karen McDougal as an actress, and is chosen as being typical of the image portrayed by her as an actress.
- The image is not reproducible; the XFL is out of business
- The image is used for informational purposes only and is not believed to detract from the original TV commercial in any way.
- The image is of a single frame of the commercial video, not the whole commercial
- The image is low resolution
- The image does not interfere with the ability of the owners of the commercial to resell the commercial
- The image is being used only in the biographical article of its subject, for educational and informational purposes.
This image is a screenshot from a copyrighted film, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by the studio which produced the film, and possibly also by any actors appearing in the screenshot. It is believed that the use of a limited number of web-resolution screenshots
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information. |
