[edit] no worries!

Hello there - you just deleted a bunch of my external links, and I want you know I didn't take it personal or anything. :) I do think they serve a purpose and belong on the page, but I will ask nicely in the discussion section and let someone else decide. Rasi2290

[edit] Re: Rants

Also, please will you advise me how I may review you deletion history, so that I can work out whether this is an isolated incident or not. Countersubject 22:11, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the link. Your message seems to indicate that you think I'm hoping to find a pattern. Actually, precisely the opposite. I genuinely hope this is an isolated case.
BTW, you seem to have forgotten the other request for information that I put to you in your capacity as an administrator. Countersubject 22:28, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images on episode lists

Are images allowed on episode list pages?? (Yugigx60 12:39, 2 October 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Xezbeth

Hi Xezbeth,

I understand that you have greatly more experience than me as a contributor to wikipedia and am greatful for you "wikifying" certain elements of the paddingtons pages i've been developing, but i would love it if you could just like you have on one of your edits give me the courtsey of leaving a note no matter how brief to let me know why...i'm a software engineer and it's common practice to comment code and changes you make to someone's work.

I'd also like to ask why you removed the cover art for "21" and the links to the videos on each of the singles? where is the problem there? the cover art is certainly not offensive nor any of the videos... i only ask these questions as i deal officially with all of the paddingtons interests on sites like wikipedia and by people taking down things like the videos feel they are being inadequately represented.

Kind Regards

AD

[edit] Response

Thanks for the rapid response will re-add the image and the videos i only linked them as these days a single comes as kind of a package deal and i wanted to take away the hassle for people who may read the article then think "i'd like to watch that video" because until youtube those vids were hard to come by.

[edit] Another Paddingtons Query

is it wiki format to not include release dates of singles xezbeth? (Arcadiandreamer 11:34, 3 October 2006 (UTC))

What information do you feel I should write about Zonaria, I included their music video link.

[edit] Marcos Aguilar

This biographical article has ZERO sources, it is about a somewhat controversial locally but apart from that not much notable individual, and it gets the Foundation complaints. If you think we really need an article, please consider making one with sources in order to abide by WP:BLP. David.Monniaux 14:26, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Irrespective of the merits of the article, I'm sorry to see it deleted without discussion. Countersubject 18:36, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NPA article

Hello!

Myself and User:Cswrye are currently discussing rating an article within Wikiproject: Psychology - specifically NPA personality theory. Would it be possible for you to provide additional insight, as and when it is convenient? Thank you! :)-- D-Katana 13:58, 04 October 2006

[edit] User:Third Railway Man

Any idea why he picked on me? Jimbo I can understand - he's a prime target for vandals. I'm usually only a target when the vandal is a repeat of someone I've already blocked..... - UtherSRG (talk) 12:28, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Worldsleeps

Hi,

Can you please tell me why you felt it was necessary to remove the article on the band, When All the World Sleeps? I'm sure you have a legit reason, I was just curious as to what it was.

Thanks, TKB

[edit] Conspiracy of the Machetes

That was a redirect, albeit a soft one. But I'm not too concerned about it. I think it works either way. --Rbraunwa 22:33, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Copywriter / Copywriting

If you disagree with my proposal to merge these two, please discuss it at Talk:Copywriting. Do not just delete the tag. I have in fact already added the content of Copywriter into Copywriting, and I will change the wholly redundant Copywriter into a redirect unless there is a consensus there that it should not be done. Gnusmas 15:33, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Muchas gracias

Hey Xezbeth, thanks a lot for supporting me in my recent RfA. It succeeded, and I am very grateful to all of you. If you ever need help with anything, please don't hesitate to ask. Also, feel free point out any mistakes I make! Thanks again, —Khoikhoi 05:05, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Redundant Categories

Hey, I saw you were removing categories on the Victoria Cross entries I categorized. I realize you are tons more experienced as a Wikipedian and editor, but I added all of those categories as some were sort of 'portals' to how someone would look up Victoria Cross recipients. So I feel they should be left in place and I reverted the categorizations on them. Sorry if you hate this! --Caroldermoid (talkcontribs) 22:25, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

I get what you are saying, but I was reading the discussion on categories and some feel you should put category:actors as well as category:american actors, as the latter does not help if someone is looking up all actors not knowing if the person was american or not, and the former does not give as much specification as the wiki categories could do. I am a relative newby, but that is the arguement I read under categorization talk. I get it about lists ... admit to not knowing much about it. But seems like someone would like to be able to look up Victoria Cross recipients and someone else WWI Victoria Cross recipients? But I do bow to your vastly greater experience on wiki, so I will stop reverting your changes, lol. Just wanted to let you know why I did not agree. --Caroldermoid (talkcontribs) 22:43, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

PS.I got another quick question on categorization. For category:biographer, If you add the |name tag on it, is it also important to tag the person whose biography was written somehow? If so, how? TIA

[edit] Term "vanity" greatly discouraged

Re your recent prod of Michael Feinberg: I endorsed the prod, but would like to point out that the use of the term "vanity" in such cases is now strongly discouraged. See WP:COI. cheers Xtifr tälk 22:28, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Ok, apparently you already knew, sorry. I ... find myself oddly pleased by your defiant attitude about it.  :) Xtifr tälk 08:44, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Elonka

Thank you very much for your support in my RfA. Unfortunately consensus was not reached, and the nomination was not successful. I do however appreciate your comments, am still in support of the Wikipedia project, and will continue to contribute without interruption. Thanks again! --Elonka 10:05, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks...

...for reverting vandalism to my user page!  :) —Wknight94 (talk) 21:17, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks (2)

Thank you for the additional category to the Sandra Brown article. I only started it today so it needs a bit of work. Roaming27 06:59, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] lemurs

Thanks for the cleanup on the Pygmy and Sambirano Mouse Lemur articles. Would you like a copy of my email correspondence with Colin Groves and Russell Mittermeier? If so, please email me. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:05, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:6th Day DVD.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:6th Day DVD.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 19:36, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Theme_Park_CD_case.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Theme_Park_CD_case.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Vandalism

Hi Xezbeth. I noticed that you have placed several 48 hour blocks on 201.134.234.147. Nevertheless, this user continues to do quite a bit of vandalism, without making any productive edits. I would appreciate your opinion and assistance in the matter. Ayin/Yud 15:39, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] David A. Embury

I am writing to kindly request you remove the note expressing your concern over the notability of David A. Embury. As the writer of one of the most well-regarded--no, beloved--cocktail books ever written, that still gets mentioned all the time by enthusiasts (such as myself), despite being out of print for many years, I believe Mr. Embury certainly meets the requirements. I will try to update this entry soon, as well as create an entry for The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks, but as I am a relative novice, it may take a while. In the meantime, I hope to at the very least get rid of the black eye you placed upon Mr. Embury's page by indicating it may not be notable. As evidence, I would offer the outrageous prices people are selling the book for on Amazon, its mention in lists of must-have cocktail books at drinkboy.com and eGullet.com, and [this 2005 article from New York Magazine], which tells us that it is the "official training manual" at the Pegu Club in New York City. Of couse the ultimate evidence is simply reading this delightful book.

[edit] Jeff Lambert

Hello, I was just wondering as to why you deleted the article on Jeff Lambert; I'm thinking the reason is that he's not notable enough (which is the most common reason for article deletion), but I just need confirmation.--WatchHawk 00:16, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] YWW

Hi there. I noticed you had made a minor contribution to the young writers workshop page. Are you a YWW alum or were you just passing by the page? I'm an alum and I never thought about the possibility of meeting former "young writers" on wiki, so I just thought I'd ask. Nadsat 22:23, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
