[edit] Tunisian Footballers

I thought you'd rather have the new subject title below your archive rather than above it, but anyway..

Thank you for creating the new [[Category:Tunisian footballers]] to supersede the general Tunisian sportspeople. I knew it was a job which had to be done at some point - after all, Tunisian sportspeople is now blank. I just wish I had have gotten onto the job previously..

As ever.

[edit] Banned films#Canada

Xezbeth, why did you remove the section on Canada I added to the banned films article? —Psychonaut 18:09, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Hello Xezbeth. At http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Children%27s_Internet_Protection_Act appears incorrect information saying US v. ALA overturned CIPA. [ "CIPA was signed into law on December 21, 2000, but overturned by the Supreme Court of the United States on June 23, 2003." ] So I added a comment containing a link to US v. ALA so people could see this was wrong. Then Omegatron reverted the page to the incorrect information. Why? Are you or Omegatron a member of the American Library Association? The ALA is purportedly against censorship and in favor of freedom of speech. Certainly the ALA would not approve the revision of the wiki page to remove the information I have included, would it? Please try to be polite in your response and please refrain from personal attacks, choosing instead to address the issues concerned. Thank you very much. Respond to me at http://www.plan2succeed.org/ thank you.

It's amazing on how many pages I misspelled "assassinated". Morris 16:04, Apr 13, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Coquette

I'm not sure whether I've missed some policy, but why have you moved the aricle Coquette (film) to Coquette (movie)? You give no reason on the Talk page. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 21:11, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Congratulations!

Congratulations! It's my pleasure to let you know that, consensus being reached, you are now an administrator. You should read the relevant policies and other pages linked to from the administrators' reading list before carrying out tasks like deletion, protection, banning users, and editing protected pages such as the Main Page. Most of what you do is easily reversible by other sysops, apart from page history merges and image deletion, so please be especially careful with those. You might find the new administrators' how-to guide helpful. Cheers! -- Cecropia | explains it all ® 22:37, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

What do you make of this whodunit character? Tschus, if I'm not mistaken, is something like "cheerio" in German.. Matthew Platts 14:33, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Hello

Hello Xezbeth. Are you happy? As a sysop, you must have gained a big boost in your reputation for blocking vandals so quickly and efficiently, as well as reverting their edits. Always willing to help out. Good luck to you. Whowasthat 16:35, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I don't know why but your userpage breaks Wikipedia on Firefox. To be more precise it forces the leftnav below your page. - RoyBoy 800 18:09, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hello.

There is an active discussion at Talk:The_Matrix#MIM_review regarding the suitability of Mista-X's external links, which he added to The Matrix, A.I. and quite a number of other movie-related pages. If you wish to, you could come and take a look. -- Curps 02:11, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hi Xezbeth. I just want to know the reason why you voted me article of List of people who changed the world in good ways. If you want me to change the title, I can, but I just wish to know the reason. Thanks ImpalerBugz 06:53, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Penguinize

I thought your decision to delete Penguinize looked a little odd. I count only 5 delete votes, with around 3 merge-and-redirects, a couple of keeps, a transwiki or two. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 19:03, 11 May 2005 (UTC)

Thanks, that makes sense. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 19:13, 11 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Somebody appears to be editing Iasson sockpuppet info...

An anon. user has been editing the templates and text of pages which state that the account in question is apparently a sockpuppet of Iasson. For the most part, Iasson is being changed to Faethon, and the term "public account" is added. In one case, "abusive" was changed to "not abusive." I've been reverting these changes as vandalism, but I'm not certain if this is correct. The problem is that since this is an anon. user who is only making edits to these particular pages, I am very skeptical that the changes are legitimate. Do you have any idea of who might be behind this? --Chanting Fox 19:43, 14 May 2005 (UTC)

  • I see you read this. From the actions you took, that's a definite "no" as to the changes being legitimate. --Chanting Fox 19:46, 14 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for moving Jennings (disambiguation) to Jennings. Very much appreciated. Flcelloguy 18:00, 25 May 2005 (UTC)

How did you count the votes on Leeroy, what figure did you get? Everyking 06:12, 27 May 2005 (UTC)

I agree that there is only one keep vote by a well established user. But there are several keep votes by new users with a few edits. To me, that's borderline. I would probably count someone's vote if they had made 5-10 edits to articles already. Everyking 06:23, 27 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Skaven

A small entry regarding a book that contains significant information and expansion on the listed race was removed, supposedly because of advertising. As the entry states, the download is free, non-profit, fan material. It offers a person checking this reference a profit-less opportunity to gain information without having to purchase expensive Games Workshop army books, that have since removed such information even from such works to concentrate not on history and society, but stats and points values.

[edit] Is This an Article That Should be Deleted?

U.S. presidential election, 2002 (fictional). I just don't see the point of putting fictional plots from TV show and movies. Do you know how many fictional elections there have been over the last 70 years in movies and TV? In fact I am having a hard time wrapping my support around much of anything 203.9.200.3 has contributed. But, maybe it is something I just don't see. Advice? WikiDon 07:53, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Animal acts

I'm a little surprised that you called this as delete, given that of the five votes, two were for delete and three for merge. What was your reasoning? Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 11:06, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Sorry — I didn't think to check the Users' contributions history; that should have been the first thing I thought of. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 11:31, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] VfD

When closing VfD discussions, please put a link to the discussion in the delete reason. It makes the discussion much easier to find (and, in some cases where the page was renamed or it is a second nomination, possible to find for non-admins). --cesarb 20:00, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Regarding Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Cantors:

I was under the impression (and my vote and some others were certainly explicit about this) that the VfD covered not only User:Cantors, but also the pages User talk:Professor Kaufman and User:Merlinzor, which have almost exactly the same content and exactly the same issues being addressed (other than the name "Cantors"). Will you be deleting those, also, and if not, why not? --Calton | Talk 00:24, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
No problem. I wasn't sure if you'd put it off until later, overlooked them, or weren't doing them at all: I was afraid of coming off as a bit of noodge. --Calton | Talk 08:04, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

As someone who recently started patrolling VfD, I wanted to thank you for the tremendous work you do there. It's probably a usually thankless job, but you're doing a lot of work keeping it clean. :) --Golbez 06:54, Jun 23, 2005 (UTC)

Hi. I may have been a little hasty. At 5:05 on 24 Feb, you reverted edits by 209.152.9.14 to the last version by 128.239.139.254. The effect of that was to replace one obscenity (“cuntlicker”) with another (“fuckhead”). It looked like you were contributing to vandalism rather than attempting to remove it. Why would you from Canada return the page about Kosovo from an ultra-nationalistic Albanian point of view. What do you know about Kosovo.
