[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!
|
I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. --Joe Jklin (T C) 07:59, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] About Ranma 1/2 characters articles
I've seen you've been adding to and writing new articles for the Ranma 1/2 section and while I appreciate your enthusiasm, you have to remember that sometimes, less is more (concerning your habit of stuffing the template with as many information, most of it dubious, as you can). Also, you should consider which characters deserve their own page and which ones don't, that's why the minor characters page was created. Finally, a good article must be neutral, most of your statements or the information you've added seems biased or only you own opinion on the character which is nothing but fancruft and you really should avoid that. - Facer 23:40, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] About Template:Final Fantasy character
I noticed you added a couple of parameters to the usage notes. At first I thought it was just the documentation was insufficient, but as far as I can tell, there's nothing in the templated of that kind. Are you trying to modify the template to include those parameters or what? In my oppinion, they don't really belong there. I'll revert the edit for now as it says you can do something with the template that you actually can't. - Fx21 20:08, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Kingdom Hearts related stuff
I've already talked to User:SoundPound500000 about this but maybe it's a good idea to inform you too:
I understand your enthusiasm for writing Kingdom Hearts related articles, but sometimes, it's better to just let it go. Please be aware of what Wikipedia is not, specifically in this case, a game guide, FAQ, or maybe a smoldering piece of fancruft. If a page already exists, contribute to that, rather than creating a new one. Also, try to think about who is going to read the article. Is someone who hasn't played Kingdom Hearts II going to care about it? Is someone who has already played Kingdom Hearts II going to care about it if they already know? Things like this are more appropriate for an FAQ at GameFAQs or at some Kingdom Hearts-specific wiki. I love Kingdom Hearts just as much as you but things like that don't belong on a general purpose encyclopedia like Wikipedia. Axem Titanium 23:11, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion notice
I have nominated Kingdom Hearts Glossary for deletion via WP:AfD. Please review WP:NOT. -- ßottesiηi (talk) 00:38, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Uploading an Image
Hello User:Xer, uploading an image is actually pretty easy.Hopefully this mini-walk through will help. First of all you must realize that the picture must be saved on your hard drive first and that the image is free to use (for more on this look here). Please only upload files that you know are free to use. If it is then click on "Upload file", it is in your toolbox (the box under the search bar on the left) or if you are having trouble finding it just click here. Type in the name of the image as it is on your computer in the "Source filename" box. If you don't know what the image is called on your computer click Browse button and find it. Once you have chosen your image then choose a descriptive "Destination filename" for Wikipedia. Remember we have thousands of pictures so you need to choose a good, descriptive name (oh yeah, don't forget to say what type of file it is .jpg or .PNG or whatever). Now type in any information about the image. For example author, URL (if you got it off the web), and a copyright tag if it is not in the pull-down box. If it is in the pull-down box (called Licensing) then select that. Now click upload file and your image should be on Wikipedia (of course there are any number of reasons that you could have problems e.g. the image name was already used etc.). Hopefully this helped you out, if you are having any more problems feel free to ask me more and also take a look at Wikipedia:Uploading images. Good luck with your uploading! - As a courtesy for other editors, it is a Wikipedia guideline to sign your talk page and user talk page posts. To do so simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments and your user name or IP address and the date will be automatically added along with a timestamp. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). For further info read Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thank you. Just noticed that your signatures didn't have timestamps. Thought maybe you didn't know about the four tildes thingie. Happy Holidays! ~ Joe Jklin (T C) 11:40, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Palutena
An editor has nominated Palutena, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Palutena and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:59, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:PalutenaSSBB.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:PalutenaSSBB.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:18, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
