Xenophontos monastery

Ksenofondos monastery (Greek: Μονή Ξενοφώντος) is an Orthodox Christian monastery at the monastic state of Mount Athos in Greece. It is built by the sea, stands on the western shore of the peninsula. It was built in 10th or 11th century. The monastery is dedicated to St George. The monastery has 11 chapels inside and 6 outside. The monastery ranks sixteenth in the hierarchy of the Athonite monasteries. The community numbers has about 30 working monks.

The library contains c. 300 manuscripts and 4000 printed books.
