Xdugef is a word that was created to describe a fictional computer graphic technique. This process was said to have been developed by tibetan monks and was brought to the outside world by a Thomas Xdugef.
The term was first seen and made popular on the computer graphics website CGtalk.com. The word became synonymous with overly complicated processes or vapourware programs. Such holy grail programs would have features such as "make photoreal render", "do my work for me, "make a pot of coffee" or use terms like "embiggen" instead of normal expected jargon like "Scale" one would see in a typical 3d program.
Computer graphics artist Adrian Dimond adopted the term for usage in circuit bending. In a similar way circuit bending can be an overly complicated process. Starting with a simple toy you create an almost totally new device which often involves a great amount of labor. It is often possible that more work and effort is undertaken than it would have required to just purchase a commercial device that create similar sounds or performed equivalent functions.
An example of this would be converting a old tape recorder into a distortion pedal slash feedback synthesizer despite that fact that distortion pedals are cheap and plentiful. Of course there is a particular sound that one can get from a piece of old vintage analog electronics that cannot be had by modifying today's surface mount technology.
