Hello!

Hello XDanielx. I would like to ask you a question: How can I nominate a category for deletion? I would like to nominate a category for Wikipedia:User categories for discussion. And, I have supported your RfA. Regards, Masterpiece2000 (talk) 04:51, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Thank you, XDanielx! Your reply was cool. And, your user name is also cool. Regards, Masterpiece2000 (talk) 05:11, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Adminship

Congratulations, you are now an administrator! Now is the time to visit the Wikipedia:New admin school and, if you haven't already, to look through the Wikipedia:Administrators' how-to guide and Wikipedia:Administrators' reading list. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me, or at the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard. Warofdreams talk 11:44, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, will do. I'll send out the thxspam tomorrow some time. :-) — xDanielx T/C\R 12:13, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Hey, congratulations on your great success. :) I look forward to possibly working with you in the future as our paths cross. Happy mopping! PeaceNT (talk) 07:14, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Congrats! :) Glad to see you made it! Hey -- if you do IRC, you might want to consider joining #wikipedia-en-admins, it's really, really helpful, for the new admin... I know it was for me. SQLQuery me! 08:06, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

RfA

I didn't think it was usual to thank someone for voting oppose, but the pretty snazzy (and very clever) thankyou "card" did bring a smile to my face. Good luck with your admin tasks! Lankiveil (talk) 08:25, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations!

Hello XDanielx. Congratulations! And, please don't change. People do change when they get power. Remember, with great power comes great responsibility. I really hope you will do a great job as an admin. Regards, Masterpiece2000 (talk) 10:41, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

I am quite sure that you will not abuse the tool. You are a cool guy! I wish you all the best. Regards, Masterpiece2000 (talk) 12:47, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations on your successful request for adminship. I am glad you passed, and you are welcome for the support. For information on using your new tools, see the school for new admins; you will find it very useful. Good luck! Acalamari 21:32, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

As an administrator who has edited the file, I request that you take a second look at the use of Image:Rk74rg1.jpg and its license and fair use statements. see detailed comments at Image talk:Rk74rg1.jpg It appears to me to not qualify for use under the fair use rules and the license being used does not fit the stated source. Dbiel (Talk) 20:49, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply. For the record, I am still rather new to Wikipedia and trying to learn my way around. The main problem with this image, as I see it, is the relationship of the source to the article it is being used in. The source has been identified as a photographer for the Rolling Stone Magazine. The article the image is being use is not about the Rolling Stone Magazine, but about The Carpenters, the subject of an article in the Rolling Stone Magazine. As I understand the fair use rules, this type of usage is not permitted. Please correct me if I am incorrect in my understanding. Dbiel (Talk) 23:32, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the additional reply. I posted the issue at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions#Image:Rk74rg1.jpg -- Dbiel (Talk) —Preceding comment was added at 01:57, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for supporting my RFA

Thanks for your support, my request for adminship passed 62/0/0 yesterday!

I want to thank Snowolf and Dincher for nominating me, those who updated the RfA tally, and everyone for their support and many kind words. I will do my best to use the new tools carefully and responsibly (and since you are reading this, I haven't yet deleted your talk page by accident!). Please let me know if there is anything I can do to be of assistance, and keep an eye out for a little green fish with a mop on the road to an even better encyclopedia.

Thanks again and take care, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 18:33, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Assessment

Do you by any chance assess philosophy articles? One article, What Is Your Dangerous Idea?: Today's Leading Thinkers on the Unthinkable has been on the log for half a year without being rated. Could you maybe assess this article? Thanks, --Slartibartfast1992 19:24, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, that really helps. --Midorihana(talk)(contribs) 20:41, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
 :-) — xDanielx T/C\R 01:00, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes, the feedback was much appreciated (I'll get to work clarifying how the book was made as soon as possible). Also, do you think we need to mention more criticism in the review section, or is it fine as is? --Slartibartfast1992 03:13, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Glad I could help! I guess I'd say just add any criticism as you see fit based on the significance of the criticism -- if it's just a handful of blog posts and the like I'd probably leave it out, but if it's a topic of critique in reputable scholastic writings I'd definitely try to mention something. You're the experts. :) — xDanielx T/C\R 06:43, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Croatian Navy or Croatian navy?

Thanks for moving the page but I think the caps are incorrect now ... see Category:Navies by country, it looks like a cap N in Navy is conventional. Brianhe (talk) 07:41, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
