The Scottish Catholic Observer was founded in 1885 and for the last 122 years, it has distinguished itself with quality news coverage. Scotland’s only national Catholic newspaper features ‘Home News’ of the Catholic Church in Scotland as well as regular International Church News and reports from the Vatican.

Weekly editions contain an opinion page, letters, education and reviews in addition to regular reader competitions. The paper also lists births, deaths and marriages across Scotland.

The paper carries regular features on Scottish Catholic life and history, weekly columnists alongside an Ecumenical page which keeps readers up to date with Scottish Inter-Church dialogue and projects.
