Xavier Samuel

'Xavier Samuel' is a young Australian actor. He grew up in Adelaide and graduated from Flinders University Drama Centre in 2005. He played Hamlet in the graduate production. Since this time he has worked professionally in both theatre and film. He plays the central character in an Australian feature film 'September', directed by Peter Carstairs, which was released in 2007 and featured in the Toronto International Film Festival. His latest film Newcastle, directed by Dan Castle, had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2008.
