Xavier Iván Báez Gamiño (born on July 22, 1987 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas) is a Mexican Footballer, currently playing for Chivas de Guadalajara as a Winger.
Xavier debuted with Chivas on February 17, 2007 against CF Atlante in a 3-0 win for the Rojiblancos. He had the chance to participate in the 2007 CONCACAF Champion's Cup playing against Trinidad and Tobago's W Connection and the United States' DC United. Although he has played four games with Chivas in the Clausura 2007 Tournament, Xavier is a regular with Chivas' filial team Tapatío. He scored his first goal with Chivas on April 21, 2007 in a 4-1 win over Veracruz. This goal came on a play started by Xavier himself, in which he received a headed pass from teammate Omar Bravo in the box, which he finished by simply tapping the ball into the net. He has recently been a starter in the chivas Line-up with Efrain Flores.
