I'm not sure what you were trying to say on my Talk page but the material you have deleted without discussion is well-sourced in The Tablet. Cease deleting it without discussion on the article's Talk page. --ElKevbo 20:07, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Role account & conflict of interest

Based on your username, it appears possible that this account is being used as a "role account" for persons (presumably administrators) at Xaverian High School. Please note that, per WP:SOCK, role accounts are generally not allowed (only one exception has ever been made).

In addition, please review our guidelines regarding conflicts of interest. If you are indeed closely connected with Xaverian High School, the prohibitions and recommendations in those guidelines likely apply to you. --ElKevbo 20:43, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Avoid edit wars about article content

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Xaverian High School. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. From the content of your replies it seems that youy are affiliated with the school, if so please realize that this is a community of editors and that this page does not belong to you or to your school. It is about your school, yes, but wikipedia is meant to be subjective and thought it may seem like anarhcy there are policies and guidelines. If something violates a copyright, or doesn't add anything to an article say so and delete, but realize that outside of that, sorced material should not be deleted, and most attempts to do so will be reverted. I will forward your question on the help desk to requests for administrator attention. YechielMan 16:18, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
This may shed some more light on the situation here. This was left on my Talk page by Xaverianhs after I added some alumni to the Xaverian High School article (accompanied by a reply from ElKevbo, another editor whose contributions have been systematically and repeatedly reverted by Xaverianhs) —
We at Xaverian realize that Wikipedia is a global endeavor of information but you must also realize that this information must be accurate. If someone places the name of an alumnus under the categaory of 'Notable', we must protest this event since this honor was not bestowed upon him by the school. If this were the case, every alum that graduated can place his name here as having attended or with a profession that cannot be verified. Notable alumni, distinguished alumni or any such data must reference our site link where all those names are listed. This link was placed there by us and was removed by you.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Xaverianhs (talkcontribs) 07:59, June 7, 2007
There is no claim in the article that the alumni listed as "notable" are noted as such by the school. Hence your claim that such alumni "must reference [your] site" is false. You do not own that article and I encourage you to discuss your concerns on the article's Talk page.
I further encourage you to read and respond to the comments others have left on your own Talk page. Your actions raise serious concerns about conflict of interest and the use of a role account. --ElKevbo 13:47, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
This is the clearest communication we've received from Xaverianhs (after numerous requests for discussion) and does much to clear up the mystery. Xaverianhs has been diligent in removing most copy from the Xaverian High School article many, many times in the past month, claiming the material is a COPYVIO. After careful checks there appear to be no copyright violations; at worst, it appears the original contributor very carefully paraphrased information from XHS's website. Ironically, the only clear copyvio was material taken from a news publication (not directly associated with XHS); all that was required to fix it was to appropriately summarize the info and provide attribution (which has been done), but Xaverianhs appears to take exception to any information published about it outside its own website, even information gleaned from media sources.
Now that Xaverianhs is communicating, perhaps the situation can be resolved for all parties. The only problem that the article had before was too much unsourced material (but no copyvio). Most unsourced material has been removed. Editors will find it challenging, however, to add to the article since there are virtually no third-party references to XHS.
