[edit] Degrassi pic at Image:Degrassi TNG Logo.jpg

Do you mind if I replace this pic on the Degrassi TNG article with an image with just the logo (and not the sceencap)? -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 01:09, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of issues

Actually, it's funny you should mention that. I'm in the process of adding issues from episode 6's (the current season) episodes as we speak, and am planning to move it when I'm done season 6. I have not seen season 5 (I don't have access to that season yet), so I'll need the rest of you to pitch in for that. :) Stay tuned. -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 02:02, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moving Degrassi TNG's list of episodes

Ooooh, you shouldn't have done that. You should've asked for me to move the page instead of doing what you did (copy and paste), because the new List of Degrassi: The Next Generation episodes article has no edit histories from the old one. You should've asked me or another admin. :) -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 04:27, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

There, fixed. Now the article has the edit history carried over from the old article as well. The discussion page is also moved to the new article name. -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 04:29, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
List of issues added. :) -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 08:40, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sorry to bug you again...

But I did some tweaking with the categories to try to make the Degrassi articles a bit more organized. Per Wikipedia's manual of style, the word "Episodes" in the category has been decapitalized (to "episodes," not "Episodes") and that episodes category is now under Category:Degrassi: The Next Generation as a subcategory, so the Category:Degrassi is no longer needed (as it's a broader and less specific category).

I'm probably going to do a lot more tweaking with Degrassi articles, but I'm likely going to pre-occupy myself with article categorization, since you seem to be doing alright in the episode articles and such. However, please remember that it's always a good idea to add a fair use rationale for the screen captures and such (ie. state that the picture will only be used to illustrate the article's subject, it's a scaled-down version that doesn't allow for profitable reproduction, there is a lack of free use images depicting the same image, etc.). That reduces the chances of the image being deleted by another administrator lest it fails copyright criteria. :) -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 06:07, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

The same manual of style guidelines apply for headers (ie. ==header==). The general rule is to capitalize the first word of the header and not the rest (for example, "Plot summary" instead of "Plot Summary"), unless it's a proper noun (like a person's name). -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 06:09, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
And while I'm at it, I'd like to give you a barnstar for your work on Degrassi articles. :)
The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
For your tireless work towards expanding Degrassi articles. :) -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 06:12, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Degrassi:

Yes, that would be a nice idea. It's exactly what the ice hockey Wikiproject does (they categorize images by team) so it can definitely work well. -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 14:52, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Two-parters

To avoid the chances of an AfD and for organizational purposes, I'd say one article for both part one and two would be better. (It'd be easier to read too, as it would have some sort of continuity.) -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 02:29, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unfinished episode articles

If the article is unfinished, you probably shouldn't create them yet. You can do so in your own userspace though, to fine-tune it first before adding them to article space. (To create a test page, just add "/whatever" to your userpage's address.) -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 03:21, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, right now, quite honestly, you're probably doing more harm than good, because if another user or admin comes across these, they can mark it for speedy deletion. Then all the work already done would be wasted. -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 03:26, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
In the meantime, I guess we'll hope and pray nobody deletes them (although I'm an admin and have the privilege and power to do so). But those articles should be completed/written as soon as possible for sure. (Also, remember that according to the Wikipedia manual of style, the standard for capitalization in headings is ==Like this one== and not ==Like This One==.) Thanks. :) -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 03:37, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Hehe, I know some admins who act like robots. Personally, I don't want to be one of those people -- I want to be an admin who's willing to talk to and listen to "regular" users, and I want to make "regular" users feel comfortable when talking to me. I know it's cliche-ish but it's my goal. And to answer your question, no, this does not apply to episode names (because those are episode titles). And I'll keep my eye on that vandal; thanks for the heads-up. -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 03:51, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Questions

For information about admins, see WP:ADMIN; we don't get paid but are volunteers like other Wikipedia users. As for copyrighted information -- copyrighted material can be speedily deleted but it is retrievable by admins (although no credible admin would do so unless there's a very good reason). -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 14:10, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Adopt an Article

Hm...I'm not entirely sure, but if I were you, I'd check out here. If that doesn't help, then please contact me again. :) --theblueflamingoSquawk 02:47, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Oh, I must've misunderstood you question. I'm not sure if you have to, but you can by all means list your name, and the article you're adopting in that section. It would help organize it a bit.--theblueflamingoSquawk 03:11, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm not a leader, or anything. I just created it. If anyone is a leader, then it'd be Buchanan Hermit. ;) He's done a lot for the project. You have too. Without you, there wouldn't be as much Degrassi content here.--theblueflamingoSquawk 03:16, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Episodes of D:TNG

I appricate your hard work on these articles. But there seems to be a problem. The many red-links you provided on the episode guide seems to bring trolling editors to create non-sense pages or poorly created ones. Since you seem to be the one doing a fine job creating the articles, I was going to inform you of this. I am filling all the red-links to a redirect to List of Degrassi: The Next Generation episodes until you get the time to create the articles to their best. Whenever you come upon on that has been redirected by me, feel free to revert and start writing the articles. Contact me if you have any questions or need any help. Cheers! — Moe 02:35, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Season 1 seems fine and especially like the length and depth of Mother and Child Reunion, Part 1 (D:TNG episode). Try to make all of them like this if you could :) — Moe 02:51, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Degrassi episodes

Quite frankly, I can't really give you a good answer because I haven't edited that page (or looked at it closely) in ages. Sorry. -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 00:30, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Degrassi timeline

An editor has nominated Degrassi timeline, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Degrassi timeline and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. [edit] Coppola family tree

Where did you get the Coppola family tree? You may want to make it a separate page and add it to Category:Family trees —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TonyTheTiger (talkcontribs) 00:11, 1 May 2007 (UTC).

The family tree is nice. However, Category:Coppola family will likely be deleted within the next week. If you want your tree to remain on wikipedia you may want to take my advice. TonyTheTiger (talk/cont/bio) 15:28, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

It seems someone has not correctly updated Coppola family tree. Since you are the expert, I will leave it to you to fix the errors. TonyTheTiger (talk/cont/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 22:56, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

I am not sure what you have fixed, but the tree seems to continue to be broken on the right side. TonyTheTiger (talk/cont/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 21:03, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
