xACT (short for X Audio Compression Toolkit) is a free audio utility for Mac OS X. It handles compression and decompression between various lossless audio formats, secure CD ripping, and is a graphical interface for the Unix applications Shorten, shntool, Monkey's Audio ,FLAC, and cdda2wav.
