Should this page be USS X-1? I expected it to be about the Bell X-1 supersonic research aircraft of Chuck Yeager fame. Tannin 08:10 Feb 20, 2003 (UTC)

Actually the USS X-1 is improper the USS is only used to commissioned ships with the US Military. The X-1 was never commissioned as as such shouldn't be USS. Instead it should be "X-1 Submarine" or something similar. PPGMD
