X&trick

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ghent, Belgium based X&trick has been travelling the globe for the past few years playing his live and dj sets. Where ever he goes he seems to get the dance floor on fire with his energetic, fresh and unique blend of drumnbass, jungle, electronica, break-and hardcore.

It all started in 1998, where he played his first records on a party called ‘Dionysus’, which he organised with some friends. As the reputation of ‘Dionysus’ gained, X&trick started to play more gigs spread over the country. Soon he got invited for his first gigs outside of Belgium and he played dates alongside the worlds most respected artists (Mu-ziq, Venetian Snares, Hellfish, Bogdan Raczynski, Alec Empire, Jimi Tenor, and Panacea...)

During those years he also started to focus on his own production, and after contributions to several compilation CDs on various international labels, his debut ep got released on vinyl worldwide mid 2005 on his own ‘Bug Klinik’ imprint. It was well received by the press, dj’s and audience and this resulted in an intensive touring schedule (more than 60 gigs in 10 countries during 2006). X&trick has built a list of shows in city's like Tokyo, Osaka, London, Berlin, Zurich, Rotterdam, Brussels, Vienna, Lyon, Paris, Rome, Bucharest, Dublin, Belfast, New York, Ljubljana, Zagreb...to name just a few.

Currently he’s still releasing remixes, contributing to compilations on several labels. He also appears on labels like Suburban Trash Industries, Bee Records, and Puzzling Records.
