WZFN (1100 AM) is a 50,000 watt radio station serving the Fargo-Moorhead market, licensed to Dilworth, Minnesota. The station signed on October 4, 2007 with non-stop classic country music, and went off the air a few days later. In April 2008, the same on-air signal began again. Continuous classic country music was the same test pattern that KKAG 740 (now KVOX) employed when they first signed-on in the Fargo market earlier in 2007.
WZFN was originally owned by Brantley Broadcast Associates based in Alabama. WZFN was sold to Scott Hennen's SMAHH Communications of Fargo in April, 2008.[1]
On Monday, May 19, 2008, Hennen announced a planned call sign change to WZFG-AM, subject to FCC approval. It was announced that Rush Limbaugh is expected to be carried in the new program schedule when the new news/talk programming format is in place. Sean Hannity's national program will also be carried on the new station. Hennen has guest hosted Hannity's show on several occasions.
