[edit] In the media
"WZAZ" is the name of the fictional Chicago radio station in the movie Airplane!. The station's motto is "Where Disco Lives Forever!" The station is knocked off the air when the airplane bumps the station's tower en route to its landing. The fictional call letters stood for initials of the writers of the film, David Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and Jerry Zucker.
A fictional television station bearing the "WZAZ" callsign appears in the Weezer video for "Buddy Holly" and also in The Andy Griffith Show episode "The Mayberry Chef".
