Wyrd Sisters (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Wyrd Sisters are a Canadian folk music group.
The band formed in 1991 in Winnipeg, Manitoba as a duo consisting of singer-songwriters Kim Baryluk and Nancy Reinhold. Reinhold left the country in January 2003, and Baryluk continued as the creative force of the current band. In 2005, the band began a legal action against Warner Brothers, Jarvis Cocker of Pulp, and Jonny Greenwood and Phil Selway of Radiohead over a scene in the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which featured a band called the Weird Sisters. The suit was dismissed, and the band was forced to pay costs.[1][2]
