Wyoming State Route 13 is a Wyoming State Road known as Arlington Road. WY 13 is an East-West route (Southwest-Northeast Route) that runs from I-80 in Arlington northeast to Rock River where it has its east end at US 30 / US 287. WY 13 passes through McFadden. WY 13 begins in Carbon County and runs 9.29 miles until it enters Albany County and then continues another 8.47 miles to its east end. (Mileposts increase from east to west along WY 13.) According to Rocky Mountain Roads, the Arlington exit (Exit 272) off Interstate 80 is known to be one of the worst sections along the entire transcontinental freeway in terms of wind, ice, and snow. Interstate 80 is called the "Snow Chi Minh Trail" by some because of the constant blowing snow conditions in the winter. The Interstate is frequently closed due to wind and snow. In addition to that, as recently as February 2002, Exit 272 was not marked as Wyoming 13, even though that route begins at this exit.
