Plans for the second phase of Wynn Macau were announced in 2005. Wynn Macau intends to open approximately 25,000 square feet (2,300 m²) of additional gaming space at Wynn Macau in the third quarter of 2007, which will include approximately 25 table games and 200 slot machines, along with an additional restaurant. The remaining portion of the expansion will be opened subsequently. Once complete, the expansion is expected to add casino space, fine dining and gourmet restaurants, retail space, a theater and a dramatic front feature attraction.

The anticipated opening of Encore at Wynn Macao (previously Wynn Diamond Suites) hotel tower is early 2010.

Wynn Resorts has also submitted an application to the Macau government for a land concession for an additional 54 acres of land on the Cotai Strip in Macau for future development.
