[edit] Recreation and Sport

Wyndham Vale Cricket Club is home to 5 Senior Teams, 4 Junior Teams and a Milo Have-A-Clinic.
[edit] Education
There are several primary schools in Wyndham Vale, however, there are no secondary schools in the area. Students of high school age must travel to Hoppers Crossing or Werribee. Although in the past there have been plans to establish a secondary school in the area, it was abandoned during the Education cuts with the introduction of the Kennett Government, and the land sold to a developer. This action became very common in suburbs of Melbourne during the early 1990s. The state government announced in the 2007 state budget that a new P-12 school would be built in Wyndham Vale in the Manor Lakes Estate, developed by the Dennis Family Corporation [#REDIRECT [[1]]]. In addition a new Catholic School will be built catering up to P9 on the estate. Manor Lakes is pprox 750 hectatres in size and will eventually house more than 25 000 residents, making it the second largest residential development in Victoria after Caroline Springs.
[edit] Facilities
Wyndham Vale contains many businesses along its main strip mall, including restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and clothing/beauty stores, as well as corner shops spread around the residential area. A large recent addition to the stores in the area includes the Manor Lakes Shopping Centre, comprising of facilities such as a Coles Supermarket, Medical Centre, Red Rooster and various specialty shops.
[edit] Residential
Over the past few years, Wyndham Vale has become the host of many residential development projects including Manor Lakes[2] , Tarniet Gardens and Wyndham Green. This is due to the large amounts of ex-farmland available on the western edge of town leading to Tarneit.
