is a retired radio announcer-executive from the Forest City NC and Gaffney SC radio markets. Born near Whitaker Mountain SC in 1939, he did a tour in the US Army where he met and married his wife in Texas. Later returning to his native state, he worked a few years in Media:Gaffney SC, before getting into the field of his lifetime pursuit and personal love — RADIO! He began at Media:WEAC-WAGI in Gaffney as a part time announcer and studio assistant. Later he went to fulltime and was soon promoted to Program Director. After a few years with these stations, he moved on to WAGY, an AM daytimer in Media:Forest City NC where he served as Advertising Sales Manager and Accounts Executive. Later he became Station Manager of WBBO in Forest City.

He has since retired but never lost his interest in radio, and will from time to time make contributions to Wikipedia's Radio pages.
