WWRU is a Korean-language AM radio station licensed to Jersey City, New Jersey, broadcasting to the New York metropolitan area on 1660 kHz AM.

WWRU is Korean language radio that could be heard from Washington, DC suburb at night. WWRU-AM broadcasts local news, local shows, music & talk, and informs korean community around New York metropolitan areas 24/7. New York City has second largest Korean-American population after Los Angeles. New York Radio Korea is located in Flushing, NY where Korean businesses has boom.

Korean radio had broadcasted on WZRC AM 1480 before Multicultural Broadcasting Radio Inc had purchased AM 1480 and moved its Korean to WWRU-AM after turning WZRC-AM into Chinese. During WZRC AM it was called NY RadioSeoul later it changed to NY RadioKorea. NY RadioSeoul also broadcasted on a weak station, WNSW 1430 AM in Newark, before changing its name and dial position again.

Korean radio can be heard on WWRU AM 1660 and WDCT AM 1310 (Washington, DC) in east coast.
