WVIS (106.1 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Christiansted, U. S. Virgin Islands. The station is owned by V.I. Stereo Communications Corporation (P.R.). The station is currently silent.[1]
The station has been assigned these call letters by the Federal Communications Commission since was initially licensed.[2]

On April 24, 2007, WVIS was granted a construction permit to relocate to Vieques, Puerto Rico, and upgrade its effective radiated power to 32,000 Watts. The new tower location would be 18°19'19"N, 65°17'59"W. This permit expires on April 24, 2010.
