WUTK-FM (90.3 FM) is an independent, non-commercial college radio station owned by the University of Tennessee and operated by the UT Department of Journalism and Electronic Media in Knoxville, Tennessee. All music, news, and sports shows are volunteer or student-produced. In 2007, WUTK began cooperating with Comcast to produce TV programs featuring local and visiting musicians who were interviewed at the station live on-air, and recorded on video for later broadcast on Comcast channel 194 on the University of Tennessee's Knoxville campus. The WUTK sports show, "Rock Solid Sports," is also recorded on video for simulcast on Comcast while the show airs live on radio.

Music specialty shows typically begin in the evening hours, and include genres of funk (The Mothership), hip-hop/rap (Edutainment Hip-hop Show and Club 90.3), jamband (Fire On the Mountain), international music (The Passport), and music from the Knoxville area (Locals Only), in addition to shows focusing on reggaeton, heavy metal, and Americana music. Most specialty shows publish their playlists on the WUTK Forum [1]

WUTK currently receives no funding from The University, relying on donations from listeners and area businesses. The station has received numerous awards and honors from various media outlets, including Metro Pulse [2] and CMJ(College Music Journal) [3] WUTK is licensed to broadcast on 90.3 MHz at 1000 Watts. Streaming audio is available 24 hours a day, and is accessible from the "Listen Now" link on the WUTK homepage (requires RealPlayer).
