Template talk:Wu-Tang Clan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ghostface Killah is just Ghostface. His new album cover (http://www.umusic.dk/MCM/covers/cover_Ghostface_PrettyToney.jpg) says just Ghostface, his label Def Jam Recordings (http://www6.defjam.com/site/artist.php?artist_id=485) says Ghostface, MTV (http://www.mtv.com/bands/az/ghostface_killah/artist.jhtml) too (even if the url still includes Killah).
- Believe it or not, the name Ghostface is actually a shortened version of the name Ghostface Killah. You see how he removed the second word? It's not like he changed his name; and even if you change your name completely, it's no guarantee your Wikipedia article is going to get that name...see Cat Stevens. There are few people out there who only know Ghostface as Ghostface and don't know the full name of Ghostface Killah, and there is noone out there who is going to get confused by this template saying Ghostface Killah instead of simply Ghostface. For the sake of brevity, the name change of his article might be worthy but the full name should stay at the top of his article and stay in this template. --Jamieli 20:45, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
- Ok, fair enough, including Killah in the article text wont cause confusion. I'll see if I can find something about his name change later and maybe add a paragraph about it in the article. I'm guessing it might have something to do with not using the word "Killer" when he's going more MTV-mainstream.--Jacob no. 9 18:37, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai
There is now an article for Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (soundtrack). Would it be appropriate to add it to the template? -Wisekwai 04:05, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
