WTOR

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WTOR is a radio station in Youngstown, New York. Broadcasting at 770 on the AM radio dial, the station airs a multicultural programming format targeted primarily at the Greater Toronto Area in Canada. The station's 13,000-watt signal is, in fact, aimed almost completely into the province of Ontario.

The station's programming is primarily in Punjabi and Urdu, with some Serbian, Macedonian and Caribbean programming on weekends. WTOR is a daytime-only station, signing off at night to make room for 50,000-watt WABC in New York City.

The WTOR call sign previously belonged to a station in Harwinton, Connecticut which now uses the call sign WSNG.

WTOR is owned by Birach Broadcasting Corporation.
