William Thompson, a.k.a. Dink Thompson is an American video animator. He's worked for developers and publishers alike such as EAI, Hasbro Interactive, iROCK Entertainment,Vicious Cycle Software, America's Army and 3Dsolve, Inc.
Dink got his start in game art/animation at EAI around 1998. While there he designed art and animation for at least five games, including Clue for Hasbro Interactive, Scooby Doo: Mystery of the Fun Park Phantom and Crazy Paint series for SouthPeak Interactive and Animaniacs: A Gigantic Adventure (also for SouthPeak).
Because of his work on Clue and Scooby Doo, Hasbro Interactive hired Dink in 1999 as an animator when EAI ceased game development. However, Hasbro Interactive was shut down soon after hiring Thompson.
Dink went on to work for iROCK Enertainment where he was a senior artist/animator for at least one game based on the rock icon Ozzy Osborne. Shortly after, however, he went to work for Vicious Cycle Software which was started by former co-workers who worked for Hasbro Interactive after it closed its doors. There he was a lead artist on several games, including Robotech: Battlecry for TDK Mediactive, Inc., and Dinotopia: The Sunstone Odyssey.
In 2005, Thompson took a job as an animator for the simulation and learning company, 3Dsolve, Inc. There, Dink was an animator for several military and government contract projects, including several projects for America's Army, the U.S. Army and Department of Defense.
Dink currently resides in Kansas City, MO. where he owns and operates his own online businesses and works as a freelance artist.
