wtcBB is an internet forum package written in the PHP programming language. (PHP 5-only for version 2.) The name "wtcBB" is an abbreviation of "WebTricksCentral Bulletin Board", being originally created by and for the WebTricksCentral website. However, ever since wtcBB2, WebTricksCentral has been more focused on its wtcBB development and dropped its original WebTricksCentral portal. wtcBB is available under the GNU General Public License, wtcBB is free software.

[edit] History

Started in August 2003, as an assignment for Andrew Gallant in his Sophomore year in high school to create a project useful to the community. An English teacher needed a message board for a literary club, so it started out as a simple school project.

Became a community project after events transpired with the school could not support the message board anymore.

[edit] Support

Support are generally given from the forums.

Interestingly, the officially supported version is 2 Alpha 3, a pre-release software, and the stable 1.1.6 is actually officially unsupported. Both versions can be seen as buggy in a sense.
