WTBI is a Non-Commercial radio station located in the Upstate region of South Carolina, primarily covering the Pickens County, South Carolina, Anderson County, South Carolina, and Greenville, South Carolina areas. The station is licensed by the FCC to Greenville.

WTBI-FM broadcasts 24 hours a day on 91.5 FM with a ERP of 22.5 kW.

WTBI-AM broadcasts as a daytime-only station on 1540 AM with an ERP of 10kW.

WTBI is owned by Tabernacle Baptist Church (Tabernacle Ministries) in Greenville, South Carolina. The station airs a mix of Southern Gospel music and preaching, mostly from area Fundamental, Independent Baptist churches and national programs originating from Greenville are carried, such as The Bright Spot Hour and The Gospel Hour.

WTBI-FM simulcasts with daytime-only WTBI-AM 1540, which is located in (and primarily serves) Pickens County, South Carolina. WTBI-AM is licensed to Pickens, South Carolina. WTBI-AM was the original Tabernacle radio station, and the FM part of the simulcast was added in the early 1990s. WTBI-AM began broadcasting under Tabernacle's ownership in 1984.

[edit] Change From 91.7 to 91.5

On December 13th, 2007, WTBI changed frequencies from 91.7 to 91.5 and increased it's ERP from 3,700 watts to 22,500 watts. This allows for better coverage in the Anderson area, as well as the Spartanburg area (which was previously affected by interference from WSGE in the Charlotte area).
