The station went on the air as WSTT on 1990-01-23. on 1991-02-15, the station changed its call sign to WSNI, on 1991-04-22 to the current WSTT,[2]

This station first went on the air in 1947 as WKTG. Later, owner Norris Mills changed the call to WLOR ("Wonderful Land of Roses,") broadcasting a modern country format. After several ownership changes, the station changed formats and became WSTT..
