WRQX, "Mix 107.3", is a hot adult contemporary radio station serving the Washington, D.C. area. Its slogan is "We play the best mix of...everything," suggesting that the format is starting to resemble the Jack FM stations.
It is one of the many Disney/ABC Radio stations that has now merged with Citadel Broadcasting.
Before it adopted its current format in September 1990, WRQX was top 40 station "Q107." That had been the station's format dating back to 1979; before that, it was an AOR (album oriented rock), and before that easy listening outlet WMAL-FM known as "The Soft One", sharing the same call sign as 630 AM.
