Write Brothers, Inc. is a computer software publisher founded in 1982 by Stephen Greenfield and Chris Huntley as Screenplay Systems. The company's first program was Scriptor, the world's first screenplay formatter. The company's programs are designed specifically for writers with their flagship programs being Movie Magic Screenwriter, Dramatica Pro and StoryView.
In October 2005 the comic book writers' website, Scryptic Studios, announced a deal with Write Brothers, Inc. in which Scryptic would officially endorse and support Write Brothers' products, and in exchange Write Brothers would promote Scryptic as their official comic book resource (PR). This deal was a direct move on the part of Write Brothers to move their scriptwriting computer software, Movie Magic Screenwriter, into the comic book industry to take the lead over its competitor software, Final Draft.
