Wrestle War

Wrestle War was a professional wrestling pay-per-view promoted by World Championship Wrestling. It was held in the month of May in 1989 and 1992 and the month of February in 1990 and 1991. The first two Wrestle Wars were under the NWA banner.

- The Great Muta (w/Gary Hart) defeated Doug Gilbert (with Eddie Gilbert) (3:03)
- Muta pinned Doug after a moonsault.
- Doug replaced the Junkyard Dog.
- Butch Reed defeated Ranger Ross (6:59)
- Reed pinned Ross after a Flying Shoulder Tackle.
- Dick Murdoch defeated Bob Orton, Jr. (w/Gary Hart) in a Bullrope match (4:54)
- Murdoch pinned Orton after an elbow drop.
- The Dynamic Dudes (Shane Douglas and Johnny Ace) defeated The Samoan Swat Team (Samu and Fatu) (w/Paul E. Dangerously) (11:02)
- Douglas pinned Fatu when Ace hit Fatu with a missile drop kick.
- Michael Hayes (w/Hiro Matsuda) defeated Lex Luger to win the NWA United States Championship (16:06)
- Hayes pinned Luger when Terry Gordy pushed Hayes on Luger.
- Sting defeated The Iron Sheik (w/Rip Morgan) to retain the NWA World Television Championship (2:12)
- Sting forced Sheik to submit with the scorpion deathlock.
- Ric Flair defeated Ricky Steamboat to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship (31:37)
- Flair pinned Steamboat with an inside cradle, countering a bodyslam attempt by Steamboat.
- The special judges in case the match went to the full 1 hour time-limit were: Terry Funk, Pat O'Connor, Lou Thesz.
- After the match, Funk attacked Flair after Flair turned down a title match
- The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) (w/Paul Ellering) defeated NWA World Tag Team Champions The Varsity Club (Mike Rotunda and Steve Williams) (w/Kevin Sullivan) (w/Nikita Koloff as Special Guest Referee) by disqualification (6:06)
- The Varsity Club was disqualified when Dan Spivey and Sullivan pulled Koloff out of the ring, The Varsity Club retained the title.
- Eddie Gilbert and Rick Steiner (w/Missy Hyatt) defeated The Varsity Club (Kevin Sullivan and Dan Spivey) to retain the NWA United States Tag Team Championship (6:41)
- Gilbert pinned Sullivan with a sunset flip.
- The Oak Ridge Boys performed at the show.

- Pillman pinned Garvin.
- The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott) defeated Ole Anderson and Arn Anderson to retain the NWA World Tag Team Championship (16:05)
- Rick pinned Ole.
- Ric Flair (w/Woman) defeated Lex Luger (w/Sting) by count-out to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship (38:08)
- Luger was counted-out when he left the ring to rescue an injured Sting from being attacked by Ole Anderson.
- Luger replaced Sting, who was scheduled to face Flair, but was injured at the Clash of the Champions a couple weeks before.

- After the match, Nikita Koloff attacked Luger while presenting him with the new US Title belt.
- The Freebirds (Jimmy Garvin and Michael Hayes) (w/Diamond Dallas Page and Big Daddy Dink) defeated Doom (Butch Reed and Ron Simmons) (w/Teddy Long) to win the WCW World Tag Team Championship (6:56)
- Garvin pinned Simmons.
- The Four Horsemen (Ric Flair, Barry Windham, Sid Vicious) and Larry Zbyszko (w/Arn Anderson) defeated Sting, Brian Pillman, and The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott) in a WarGames match (21:50)
- The Four Horsemen won when Pillman was knocked unconscious from a botched powerbomb by Vicious, prompting El Gigante to run-in and surrender the match on Pillman's behalf.
- Zbyszko was a replacement for the injured Anderson.

- Sting forced Eaton to submit with an armbar, after Eaton was struck in the shoulder with a metal piece of the turnbuckle.
